Event Description:
Staff and volunteers will be dressed in Civil War Era attire and describe to visitors what life would have been like between 1861-65. The Navies in the Civil War is the focus of this program. Visitors will learn about the different roles that the US and CS Navy performed during the war. We will discuss the role of ironclad and armored ships, like the CSS Neuse. We will also talk about life in the Navy for both enlisted men and officers.
