The 2021 Juneteenth Celebration is being presented, for the first time, outside at the African American Music Trail Park. Join us for this special community gathering as we commemorate the end of slavery in the US. This year’s presenters tentatively include Dr. Malcolm Beech, Brenda Stewart, Antuan Hawkins, and the Tryon Palace Jonkonnu troupe. There will also be food trucks, artist’s tables, and plenty of activities for all ages. This program is brought to you by the Lenoir County Friends of the Library, the Kinston Arts Council, the Lenoir County Parks and Recreations Department, the City of Kinston, and the Lenoir County Government.
